Please join us for the next meeting of the LGBTQ/GSM State Advisory Board.
Our mission: to facilitate the coordination of health services across systems and drive health policy reforms that promote health equity among the GSM/LGBTQ Arizonans.
Our vision: that all GSM/LGBTQ Arizonans thrive in their quality of life across all dimensions of wellness.
We have three subcommittees; data, youth, and training but are looking at incorporating new workgroups to focus on specialty populations such as Native American GSM and Hispanic/Latin@ GSM populations. The structure of the meeting is that the subcommittees meet for the first hour and then we all meet together for the second hour. This means only one meeting a month rather than several.
The LGBTQ/GSM Advisory board was founded in 2008 and is an opportunity for system-wide stakeholder areas to discuss, collaborate, and provide feedback on strengths, needs, and gaps within the areas of gender and sexual minorities, in an effort to reduce health disparities within the public health systems. We hope that you will join us and invite others that may be interested.
Please email jason.vailcruz@terros.org to RSVP.
