The LGBTQ Consortium invites you to our community town hall focused on challenging and changing racism and other discrimination within integrated health care.
Please join us at the ASU Downtown Campus Post Office in the San Carlos Room 135 from 5:30pm-9:00pm on Wednesday, April 12.
Our social justice town hall is an opportunity for LGBTQ communities to voice their experiences and opinions around challenges of racism and other forms of discrimination in healthcare. Your voice matters. Throughout the night we will explore the following: What positive or negative experiences, challenges, or barriers have you had in accessing care? What does it mean to receive high quality health care? How can we use our voices and experiences to improve care for our diverse communities? We will close the night with a call to action and next steps we can take at individual and community wide levels.
Show up to share your story! Step up to advocate for your community! Join up to support equity! All are welcome. Refreshments will be provided.
How else can you help? Invite others who should be part of this conversation. You can share our Facebook event or download and share flyers. Here’s a PDF for easy printing, or an image to share on social media.
We recommend taking the bus or light rail to the town hall. However, parking is available on Filmore between Central Ave and 1st St. for approximately $8. It is monitored by ASU Security, and they accept cash, credit, and debit cards.
